• This show is a qualifier for the 2010 P(UK) Winter Championship Show.

• The 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd in each qualifying class will qualify. 

• Competitors in qualifying positions who are not current members of P(UK) are allowed 14 days in which to become members are register their horses/ponies in order for the qualification to remain valid.

No qualification cards will be awarded in the ring.

Class 1:   P(UK) HORSELADE M&MWORKING HUNTER PONY CHAMPIONSHIP

• Mixed Mountain & Moorland WHP, stallion, mare or gelding, four years old and over. Registered in the Pure Bred Section of the Breed Societies Stud Books of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Connemara, Dales, Fells, Highland, New Forest and Welsh Sections A, B, C & D. Riders any age.

a)       Not exceeding 122cms,                                              Height of fences – min 1’9” Max 2’5”

b)       Exceeding 122cms but not exceeding 138cms,       Height of fences – min 2’3” Max 2’8”

c)       Exceeding 138cms                                                      Height of fences- min 2’8” Max 3’3”

Rosettes and qualifications will be for each section.

Class 2: P(UK) Confined Novice DOWNLAND SMUGGLER WHP WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP

• Working Hunter Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, ponies NOT to have won a first prize of £10 or more in an open WHP class before 1^st January in the current year, not to exceeing 158cm. 

• Riders must be the correct age for the animal they ride as stated in the 2009 P(UK) Rule Book.    

a)       Not exceeding 133cms,  riders not to have attained their 14^th birthday before 1^st January in the current year                                                                      Height of fences – min 2’3” Max 2’8”

b)       Exceeding 133cms but not exceeding 143cms, riders not to have attained their 17^h birthday before 1^st January in the current year                                Height of fences – min 2’5” Max 3’1”

c)       Exceeding 143cms but not exceeding 153cms, riders not to have attained their 20^th birthday before 1^st January in the current year                                Height of fences- min 2’8” Max 3’3”

d)       Exceeding 153cms, riders not to have attained their 25^th birthday before 1^st January in the current year                                                                              Height of fences- min 2’8” Max 3’6”

Class 3:  LMEC Novice Working Hunter Horse – exceeding 148cms.

        Working Hunter Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 148cms, not to have won a first prize of £10 in any Working Hunter class before 1^st January in the current year. 

Height of fences           min  2’5”  max 3’3”

Class 4: LMEC Open Working Hunter Horse – exceeding 148cms.

        Working Hunter Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 148cms.

Height of fences           min  2’8”  max 3’6”

Please Note:

Protective boots, bandages and body protectors may be worn for the jumping section but must be removed for the showing section.

No change of rider is allowed.

Fall of horse or rider will result in elimination.

Classes will be judged 60% jumping, style and manners whilst jumping,  and 40% conformation, type and manners whilst performing an individual show or judges ride.
