Rules
At all competitions everyone mounted, whether a competitor or not, Must wear British Standard protective headgear containing a permanently fitted non-detachable retaining harness, secured to the shell at more than two points. It is also advisable to wear a British standard (class 3) body protector at all times when mounted, especially when jumping. No horse/pony to be ridden bare back or without correctly fitting tack.
Liability Whilst every care will be taken, the organizers are not responsible for any accident, injury, damage, illness of horse, or any loss to horses, riders, owners, spectators or any person’s property or vehicles what so ever. For Health and Safety rulings, please take notice of the signs at the show. The organizers take no responsibility for the payment of veterinary fees required on the showground.
Please note NO Horse /Pony to be ridden faster than a walk outside of the schools & warm-up arena.
No unauthorized person to enter any arena (ring). Only competitors allowed in the collecting ring and only 6 horses/ponies allowed in the indoor collecting ring at any one time. The Ring Stewards have the right to request people / competitors to leave this arena if they feel there is a Health & Safety Issue.
All Stallions must be licensed and handled by a person over the age of 16 years and must be clearly identified as stallions with BSJA approved ribbons/discs.
The judges’ decision is final. Anyone wishing to lodge a complaint should do so within 15 minutes of the incident, with a £25 deposit ( refunded if complaint upheld).
We regret that no entry fees will be refunded.
The organizers reserve the right to alter or omit any classes & class prizes, and may refuse entry at their discretion.
Competitors limited to clear round Jumping and Two competitive classes, Riders entering Mini Novice MAY NOT compete on the same horse/ pony in Intermediate or Open classes for the welfare of the horse/pony.
Misuse of the whip or spurs will result in immediate elimination, as this is not tolerated and competitors may even be asked to leave the premises. The Judges decision is FINAL.
Entering Classes as H/C : H/C competitors will not be allowed to enter in Jump Off:
Refusals: If entered in classes for Beginners -Novice (1ft – 2ft6) and you have been eliminated due to 3 refusals, dependent on entries LMEC will allow competitors to complete the full course if Heath & Safety is not an issue, & there has been no fall by Horse / Rider.
If entering Intermediate - Open classes, Competitors who receive 3 refusals will be asked to leave the arena. A single Fence How ever may be jumped on the way out of the arena.
