Laughton Manor Stud

Liz Young's reputation as a breeder and producer of fine sports horses, race horses and eventers is outstanding.

The Stud is home to quality broodmares, broodmares with foals at foot, youngsters, and up and coming stars.

The Stud prides itself on breeding the very best stock, with proven sires and dams - many of our youngsters are from the Jumbo line (half siblings to Burghley and Badminton winners) or from premium mares and performance tested stallions.

both 2 year olds presented and bred by the Stud passed with First Premium Diplomas. We will be entering a 2 year old Jumbo Colt out of a TB mare and a yearling gelding by Free Spirit (Jumbo) out of a TB mare this year so lets hope they do as well.

Last year under the expert hand of Nigel Oliver both New Dawn Arising and Walk On Bye graded First Premium as potential Show Jumper and Eventer.

We have had our first foal of 2008 a lovely colt by Brief Encounter (Jumbo) out of a TB mare. Our First Premium Graded mare Byedali has just produced her 2nd Jumbo foal, a lovely filly.

Security is superb and vacancies do exist for boarding for broodmares and youngsters - they will want for nothing!
